Lassen County has seen a recent increase in viral meningitis. Viral meningitis symptoms include fever, headache, sensitivity to light, stiff neck, fatigue, sore throat, rash, vomiting, and diarrhea. Transmission of viral meningitis includes shared drinks/food, eating utensils, kissing and any other saliva contact. The incubation period is 3-7 days after exposure. The Red Bluff Police Department was recently notified of the placement of Daniel McRoberts at 20675 Minch Road, Red Bluff. McRoberts is a registered sex offender and has been convicted of indecent exposure, lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and kidnapping. His victims were girls between the ages of 9 and 14-years old.
